This battery should have 50% more life than the original 800mAh battery that came stock with the phone. But I can't really tell since my old battery had gotten so weak it's hard to remember what proper battery life between recharges was like. The battery is about 1/8" inch thicker than the 800mAh stock battery and has taken time getting use to. It takes away from some of the original slenderness of the phone, (I now think of it as a little humpback whale phone), but overall it's still good.

After many emails (to vendor and Amazon), software has not been provided. Original vendor claims that you have to contact another vendor for the software, but then cannot provide email address for that vendor. An unbelievable run-around.

Title says it all. Have to warn you, don't buy this. It's extremely cheap and does not in any way fit the phone. It'll come off in your pocket/wrinkle up, and there's enough space between the phone and the case that quite a bit of dirt could get in there. the case is far too thin to protect the phone against drops or other damage. I tossed it because it was cheap and I didn't feel like talking to the company, and I'm going to buy a hard case.

My Chocolate (vx8500 - the original Chocolate) was dying after a half hour phone call, using the camera to take about three pictures or after sending/receiving a half dozen text messages. I've had it for about a year and I do understand the battery life does pretty much go to pot after a certain amount of time, so I finally ordered the extended life battery.

I am so glad I did! I'm a pretty heavy cell user and my phone now holds a charge for about a week, if not longer. Way better than having to charge it two or three times a day! Even when the battery that came with my cell was new, it didn't hold a charge this long; it needed charged every 3 - 4 days.

Also, my phone had been having strange little glitch problems - calling the last person on my call list at random, flipping through the menus and messages like I was holding a button down but wasn't and being on the charger but not charging at all. That's all stopped.

Some people complain about the extra bulk the battery puts on their phone, but I actually find it makes hanging onto the rather streamlined Chocolate a lot more comfortable. Besides, it's not a massive difference in mass - it only adds about an eighth of an inch to the back of the phone where the battery sits.

I'm due for the "new every two" (it's more like every 18 months, I've found LOL) in July. I adore my Chocolate and probably won't upgrade to a new phone immediately, but when I do, I'll be slapping an extended battery into it from the very start!

My LG Chocolate (Red) is about 3 years old and so is the battery. Given the age, the battery wouldn't hold a charge for long.

I got this battery within a week via USPS. Visually, the back of the battery had deep scratches/marks which really made me think it wasn't new at all, but used. I felt the battery for any swollen areas and gave it the spin test on a flat surface which passed. Maybe it was marked up during transit? Either way, I didn't care too much about the appearance, I just wanted a battery that can hold it's charge. Also, there are no "Verizon" or "LG" logos on the back as displayed in the product image.

Durability wise, I've had this battery for two weeks and it's only needed 2 charges with excessive talk time (compared to my old battery that needed a charge every other day).
